Carte blanche is the perfect term to picture the whirlpool of art pieces that – after several months of planning – set foot for the first time in Miami. Centered compositions, camouflaged within dense geometries abstract images that surround, wrap, and invoke the idea of the human being merging into the mechanical perfection of an organized system.

The theoretical approaches concerning ideas of dynamism and speed were expressed for the first time in the Manifesto of Futurism written by Marinetti: “Objects in motion multiply and distort like vibrations through space.” This artistic avant-garde philosophy would also influence the creation of the Russian Cubo-Futurism, a movement that became a synonym of the Russian post-revolutionary avant-garde which interrogated art, also establishing direct connections with poetry and experimental music.

Following this line – and in a dynamic proposal – GALERIA AZUR MIAMI’s Opening Exhibition showcases lines, movement, colors, and textures.
Non-representational art materializes through fragmentation and displacement of traditional forms, representing a shift in stylistic values from a perception of painting as a reflection of its current reality to a representation of idealism through futuristic materialization. All these elements are present in the new space in Miami.

The selection of works reflects an ideological concern for the deconstruction – a concept that arose in the postrevolutionary context – of each artist for creating his aesthetic consciousness based on the concept of revolution and action through the reinterpretation of artistic traditions. For Malevich and other artists of the Cubo-Futurist movement, works such as those selected for this exhibition “act as a social metaphor that highlights the process of transformation, revolution, social reconstruction and proletarian collectivism they wish to see in the future of their society.
