BIOGRAPHY

Henry Bellido (born in Panama, 1983) became interested in art from a very young age and began his artistic journey at the age of 17 after graduating high school in painting at the former National Institute of Culture. After that time, he traveled to Spain where he took several courses at the Arauco Foundation taught by its founder and director, the painter Guillermo Muñoz Vera. Since 2001, Bellido has participated in several group exhibitions in Panama and abroad. He was awarded the Roberto Lewis National Visual Arts Competition, the highest national recognition in the art of painting.

Bellido loves nature. As a resident of Calzada Larga, he grew up practically surrounded by a large forest and spent his childhood outdoors, exploring and fishing with friends, observing different light effects at different times of the day, chasing sunsets. His artworks are characterized by refined, recognizable visual production and famous panoramic views of Panama.

Recently, his interests have also turned towards pop art.
