BIOGRAPHY

Born in the Switzerland in 1988, I grew up in a family where art was central to everyday life. As a wife and mother of three, I divide my time between family life, my research in anthropology and my artistic practice : painting and sculpture. The landscapes that surround me—whether those of Lake Neuchâtel, where we live, or the Breton Atlantic coastline, which we visit regularly—are a profound source of inspiration for my work. There, I explore the notion of “nouveaux lointains” through painting and sociological and anthropological readings, inviting viewers to reflect on humanity’s place in the world and the possibility of hope.

CV

-Artistic training rooted in a strong family tradition with my grandfather, Walter Bucher (painter), and my father (architectural model maker).

-Independent practice through daily painting, art history studies, and online courses with Pedro Covo and Diana Buitrago.

-Advanced training in panoramic landscape painting with Jean Sablé, Meilleur Ouvrier de France in decorative painting, at the Jean Sablé School, Versailles, France.

-Master of Arts in Anthropology, Institute of Ethnology, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

STATEMENT

My artistic practice is rooted in three foundations: art, anthropology, and my living faith in Jesus Christ. Together, they inspire my exploration of “nouveaux lointains”—earthly and spiritual horizons that invite us to rethink our place within Nature, humanity, and God amid today’s ecological and existential crises. Through acrylic landscapes, I use the horizon as a space of contemplation, where viewers are invited to embrace humility, rediscover hope, and reflect on the fragility and uniqueness of the human presence.
