Art, in its multiplicity of forms and languages, becomes a reflection not only of the creator’s vision but also of the interaction it provokes in those who contemplate it. In Session 8 at Galeria Azur Berlin, we explore this crucial relationship between the artist and the viewer, and how the completion of a work—those pivotal moments when the creative process comes to an end—generates a dynamic in which both the creator and the observer become active participants in the same cycle of reflection and understanding.
Art does not end with the completion of the work. It is at that precise moment, when the piece is considered “finished,” that the viewer comes into play. The work, though physically established, is not complete until it is seen, interpreted, and ultimately lived by the other. At this intersection, art transforms: it is not a static object but a continuous act that allows the audience to become an extension of the creation. In this way, the interaction is not one-directional; it occurs on a horizontal plane where both parties co-create the meaning and experience.
Each piece in Session 8 acts as a catalyst for this process of interpretation. The completion of the work not only closes the cycle of creation but opens the doors to a new phase, where the viewer can question, reinterpret, and, ultimately, participate in a continuous dialogue with the work. The process of observation and reflection is not passive; it activates a series of emotional, intellectual, and sensory resonances that enrich both the observer and the creator, establishing a shared space of artistic experience.
