STATEMENT
My artistic journey is a continuous quest for expression and freedom, a dialogue between my soul and the world of colors and shapes. As a self-taught artist, I have developed a visceral connection with abstraction and the Color Field style, drawing inspiration from masters like Barnett Newman, Arcangelo Ianelli, Jules Olitski, and Mark Rothko. Painting has become a channel through which I communicate the energy and emotions resonating within me, seeking to engage the viewer in an immersive, sensory experience.
My practice is marked by an endless exploration of techniques and materials, especially in blending acrylic and oil paints on large murals exceeding 1.70 meters in height. The use of gradients and shades of blue creates depths that invite the observer to dive into a world of sensations and to explore their own emotions. Series like “Lines” and “Dollinger 4.5” reveal my fascination with the interplay between light and shadow, lines and textures, where each element is meticulously arranged to generate visual harmony and emotional intensity.
The moment that transformed my relationship with art came in 2018 when photography captured my heart, expanding my perception of the world and infusing my work with a newfound appreciation for colors and forms.
