BIOGRAPHY
Vesna Duval is a European self-taught abstract painter. She was born in 1980 in Slovenia, near Nova Gorica, on the Italian border, 140 km away from Venice.
She studied management to the level of a master’s degree in international marketing. Together with her husband she is been running their own company for over 20 years. She alternates painting part-time as she fells a calling and a strong passion for it.
Her artworks talk about joy, hope and choices in life. The choice of colors and patterns reveals her enthusiastic personality. Her technique produces artworks that display the beauty and power of creativity.
She believes that real love is the strongest power when traveling through life events, and it gives strength to find hope in challenging situations. Her positive attitude and persevering personality shows in her work. Her artworks are a call to focus on the things that brings us joy.

STATEMENT
I love painting in abstract expressionism art style because each painting allows me to freely express my emotions and to truly show my deepest truth. It’s very exciting to let go of every thought and just let the hands move in authentic brush strokes and eyes observe what is happening. After the intuitive artistic expression of each layer, the rational part of studying the color combinations comes in, so the painting works together in harmony. I enjoy how the art process feels on the inside: it’s exciting and relaxing at the same time. I love to see people finding moments of pleasure, joy and inspiration when looking at my abstract paintings
