BIOGRAPHY
I was born in a quiet Pennsylvania town between Philadelphia and Amish country; Currently, a mixed media painter living in Los Angeles. My artistic journey started as early as I can remember. I always preferred creating over consuming. My grandfather was an accomplished landscape illustrator who noticed my talent early on. Many of the techniques he exposed me to became paramount components of my work. Specifically, the importance of light, shadow, and perspective. Over the years of experimenting and growth, my artistic style has evolved to also include bright color contrast of interpretive scenes, often including an emotional figure to join the viewer in reflection.

STATEMENT
My paintings are rooted in landscape scenes, and have evolved over the years through colorful expressionism. They exist between the cityscape and the country. The imagery and symbolism reflect both lifestyles.. Representing physical relocation between the two. Traveling to new places. With unfamiliar landscapes and unknown beings. Intimidating and yet, rewarding. My intention is to evoke emotions of both nostalgia and new adventure. To mentally transport viewers to another world, without forgetting where they came from.
