BIOGRAPHY
Marcus Luconi,
He is a fine art photographer specializing in the human figure, who has made his photographic career over the last 50 years. Member of the third generation of photographers from the Luconi family, in Brazil.
From 1975 onwards, adding to the photography he learned from his parents, Luconi began studying personal research, seeking information to expand his photographic knowledge with magazines, books, and, mainly, personal essays, where, with mistakes and successes, he refined the technique, exercising creativity in the constant search for your own style of photography and being recognized.
-1979, his first major photography project, was the creation of Kromak, a photography company specializing in the production of fashion catalogs, which was in the market for 40 years, having one of the largest photographic studios in South America.
-1996, Elemental, a project created, with written and creative help from journalist Michelle Bernardes, the Elemental Series, began to be photographed in 1997. Elemental, man and the environment, shows the integration of fauna, flora and humanity, respect for nature and the need to conserve the environment. In Elemental, Luconi used his memories of childhood and adolescence, an intense experience in the forests, rivers, lakes and fields, of his experience in the interior of southern Brazil, when his greatest passion was living, being active in nature. The Elemental series shows models set in harmony in the environment, often using forms of language known in nature, such as mimicry, camouflage and symbiosis. The makeup work and artistic transformation of the models in the setting is carried out by professional Rosana Antunes. The Elemental Series, photographed with medium format analog cameras, transparent color film until 2005. The main images that are part of the Elemental Series. They were scanned using the Hell Cylindrical CMYK Scanner, essential for its perfect focus and definition system. Today, Luconi has the original images preserved.

STATEMENT
Marcus Luconi
I am a Photographer passionate about images produced with the human figure, portraits, environments with natural light, mixture of lights.
All light is fundamental and used in my art.
Elemental, series created in 1996 with written and creative help from Michelle Bernardes, journalist and friend.
I started photographing the series in 1997, contemporary, human and the environment.
Elemental, has as its backdrop the passion of my childhood and adolescence when I lived intensely in rivers, lakes, forests and fields in my city in the interior of southern Brazil. Elemental combines my passion for nature, my childhood memories with portraits of people, a passion of my adulthood, both within the same theme. Models, chosen by affinity, small team with the participation of Rosana Antunes, a creative professional, specialized in characterization, body painting and props from the environment itself. Shapes found in nature, Symbiosis, Mimicry, Camouflage, used as image references.
My art is based on original and creative photographic techniques. Transparent color film, analog cameras, no pre-production montages.
