BIOGRAPHY

I began painting at 10 years, and continued during my scientific studies, following an instinctive need to express himself, I graduated in aeronautical engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan in 1992 and in the following year I attended at panting lessons of the “Bergognone” art school in Lodi and chose oil painting as my favorite technique
In 2003 I joined the “Bottega dell’Arte” an artist association based in Brianza but active all over Italy and France, a few years later I was invited to become a teacher at the evening school and since 2010 I’m the president of this association
I publish constantly my works on internet and collaborate with several web galleries, on the web I’m known as mermaid painter although my creations span various aspects of magical realism.
My work inspired creative people and is used for book covers, jigsaw puzzle, painting by numbers, and tattoos.

STATEMENT

My art is an exploration of the beauty of this world that often come to us blared by haste and habit. Taking time to observe and capture colors and light have brought me to display the magic that lay beyond the veil of our everyday reality.
I started my painting activity in love with impressionist landscapes, and I still paint occasionally landscapes en plain air but strong imagination and fantasy brought me to surrealism and beyond.
I began to make studio paintings, sophisticated and planned images, visions that mature slowly between canvas and imagination in a distillation process, realism mixed with fantasy to paint in a believable way elements that cannot be captured by any camera, the curves of a woman are thus transformed into the sensual shapes of a mermaid, one of my favorite subjects.
