Jimmie Leé a Abstract Expressionist, uses acrylic, oil, graphite & clay to evoke emotion(s) through his works, a Minnesota Based artist with rich West African roots to Liberia has worked professionally for 4 years. Hes methods & concepts are taken from hes aspects & perspectives of the ever blooming world around Him, Jimmie Leé uses color as a bridge to the observer to see things & understandings as He does. As an only child from a (late) West African Mother & (late) Sothern American father hes upbringing allowed him to tap into creativity with freedom. “This is the Roux of my soul” as we look at Art through a kaleidoscope, my work is ever changing & evolving as Life itself does.

STATEMENT
I enjoy looking at life with rose colord glasses, taking them off, seeing reality, merging them both and putting it into art. My style of work is Expressionism and the use of color(s), always with a deeper philosophical meaning. I use acrylic, oil, graphite & clay to do so.
My pieces hold Strength, Freedom, Passion, Masculinity, Femininity, Curiosity, Encouragement & Imagination. My works are ever changing from my ideas, & experiences.
