STATEMENT
As an Artist, my practice revolves around exploring the concept of identity and the human experience in a rapidly changing world. I use the medium of painting and mixed media to explore and personalise my techniques to relate with urban issues allude to the lives and mood of everyday city people, most of my works has profusion of rich texture more so using some tactical motifs and forms to relate with African Contemporary Art to give it an uncommon finish.
My work often incorporates elements of surrealism and abstraction to convey the complexity and fluidity of identity. I am fascinated by the ways in which individuals navigate the intersections of culture, gender, and personal history to form their sense of self. Through my art, I aim to provoke thought and spark conversations about the diverse and multifaceted nature of human identity.
My love for art can’t be dissolved because the more art I create the better I become and also improve in my social life. Am working towards self-growth in fulfilling what I love to do more without placing the living I would make above all.
Considering myself as an artist I have to be committed to my Art and Style by experimenting with different techniques and materials such as Ropes, Fabrics, Newspaper prints, nylon materials, Acrylics, Oil pigments etc, I strive to push the boundaries of what is considered contemporary traditional art and create pieces that are visually striking and emotionally resonant for me to generate something different and meaningful out of it so I can attain artistic professionalism in grand style.
