BIOGRAPHY
I am a self taught artist practicing 2D paintings in Milwaukee WI. I push the narrative of what it means to be an entrepreneur and an artist in the Midwest. I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of collaborative exhibitions and art walks across the Midwest region. I currently have a studio in the Marshall building in downtown Milwaukee where I work and host anxious expressions through my art.

Anthony Brewer, known artistically as ‘Kashes,’ delves deep into the human psyche, with his work revolving around the interwoven themes of breathing, anxiety, and the fragile equilibrium they share. His creations aim to encapsulate the tension between survival’s most primal rhythm—breathing—and the volatile, often overwhelming nature of mental turbulence. In ‘Kashes’ work, the notion of ‘overwhelming controlled chaos’ becomes a central motif, where the juxtaposition of serenity and disorder mirror the daily experience. Through abstract representations and layered compositions, Brewer challenges the viewer to confront the liminal space between calm and chaos, pushing them to question the harmony we often take for granted in the midst of life’s unpredictable rhythms.
