GALERIA AZUR MADRID

Like an acronym, the letters that form the word ORVIS introduce us to a word whose meaning speaks of excessive energy and intuition, power and emotional turbulence. It talks about the information that wanders between the realm of the archetype and the relative world; about ideas, thoughts, understanding and rational knowledge.

Conceived as a poetic, impressive and intimate show, ORVIS, Galería Azur’s new exhibition in Madrid, brings together a group of artists under a constellation of ideas, aesthetics and narratives to visualize new connections and propose visual responses, raised from perspectives – even erratic-, that reflect on the current view of art.

Lines, strokes, spots, shapes, cold and warm color palettes; complex compositions that refer to decoration, commemoration and contradiction. Works loaded with symbolism, with codes that need an aesthetic
appreciation, and seem to be references to strange but close subjectivities, like traditions from a nearby but unknown place.

Within the selected works, and in reference to the exhibition’s name, the pieces are presented as an intellectual laboratory that promotes contemporary art with new manifestations in a spontaneous, casual, and transparent way.
