My odyssey began in a rather unconventional setting—within the corridors of a family-owned funeral home that became the genesis of my first career path in funeral service.
Immersed in the intricate rituals of the funeral service industry, I absorbed the fundamentals of sculpture, floral arrangements, and lighting. The environment also provided a canvas for me to explore the basics of printing and document creation. Yet, beyond the tangible skills, it was the rudiments of grief counseling that captivated my interest, sparking a profound fascination with the intricacies of human experiences related to loss and the search for meaning.
Eager to deepen my understanding of the human psyche, I initially aspired to pursue a career in psychiatric nursing. However, my aspirations took an unexpected turn as I confronted the perceived sterility within the healthcare industry. This pivotal realization prompted a decisive shift toward the world of technology, marking the commencement of a new chapter in my professional journey.
Armed with a degree in English, specifically in technical communications, I ventured into the realm of technology. Just two months before graduation, I secured a position at IBM—an opportunity that would shape the trajectory of my career. Submerged in technical endeavors, my curiosity flourished, and I developed a keen interest in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential to drive positive human experiences through sustainability efforts.

On a personal front, my current abode in the sunny state of Florida provides the backdrop for a different facet of my life—one where I nurture a menagerie of animals. Among them are geriatric rescue cats and my cherished canine companions, Zelda and Tim Finnegan.
