My name is Valerii Polichuk.I’m Polish. I am 61 years old. The artist is self-taught. I only paint oil paintings on canvas.
He graduated from the technical University. I’ve been doing business for a while. I have never learned to draw anywhere, but I always know that I could draw. It sounds cocky, but I think so.
Back in my school years, I got acquainted with the work of Salvador Dali. Perhaps this is what prompted me to start painting after many years.In 2019, I paint my first painting for myself. Then the second, the third…
Now there are more than 100 of my paintings I am sure that everything we do must be done professionally, without simplifying the work. I decided to paint only oil paintings on canvas right away. I draw the subjects for my paintings from my life. Some of the plots were invented 20-30 years ago. Some even earlier. Long before 2019. My paintings are a part of me. My inner self. But still, it’s just an outer shell.
That’s why… that’s why I don’t discuss my paintings with anyone. Each of my paintings is my little world. I’m more interested in hearing the viewer’s opinion. I’m curious if I have anything in common with the audience. Can my little world intersect with the inner world of the viewer?
Have I participated in contests? Yes. But it became uninteresting to me. Because my work is not seen by the viewer.
