BIOGRAPHY
Tatiana Demidova, a German artist, lives and works in Berlin. She was born in Saint Petersburg, where she studied painting and graphic design at the Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design.
After graduating, she worked as a freelance artist and book illustrator, and also as graphic artist at the Institute of Oriental Studies RAN during the archaeological excavations in Samarkand und Bukhara.
Later, she continued her education and completed her studies at the High Courses for Screenwriters and Film Directors. After that, she worked as an artist and director at the studio Animation Magic Inc. in Boston (USA).
Since 1998, Tatiana Demidova lives in Germany and works as a freelance artist. Her paintings are in various collections in Germany and abroad. She had participated in exhibitions and projects nationally and internationally. In 2026, her painting will be represented at the Itsliquid International Art Fair Venice 2026 as part of the “Anima Mundi” exhibition. Tatiana Demidova represented by Galeria Azur.

STATEMENT
My painting can be described as an imaginary journey beyond our physical capabilities, through inaccessible spaces, through other times.
There is a special life there and you can meet strange inhabitants who are engaged in incomprehensible activities. They seem completely different and at the same time very similar to us, the inhabitants of the no less strange planet Earth.
I created my painting in my own style. I tried to experiment with the traditional technique of oil painting and to depict not the objects themselves but the light they reflect.
