BIOGRAPHY

Stephanie Dillon is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and philosopher whose work explores resilience, reinvention, and the human condition. Working across mixed media, collage, painting, photography, and textiles, Dillon approaches art as both an act of expression and a way of examining how we assign meaning and value to the world around us.

Reclaimed and repurposed materials are central to her practice. She incorporates discarded, found, and previously used materials into her work, reflecting a philosophy that has become foundational to her practice: what we have is enough. Through transformation, she asks viewers to reconsider what is overlooked, discarded, or considered finished—and what might still become something new.

Dillon intentionally leaves her paintings untitled, resisting the impulse to tell viewers what they should see. Instead, she invites each person to form their own relationship with the work based on memory, emotion, perspective, and experience.

My work begins with the belief that what we have is enough.
Through paint, collage, and reclaimed materials, I explore resilience, reinvention, and the possibility of transformation. I leave my work untitled, inviting viewers to bring their own experiences and emotions to what they see. There is art in everything.
