BIOGRAPHY
2024 – 2025: LIVE ON STAGE. A series of portraits of musicians, mainly blues and the return to my painter roots.
2021 – 2023: PASSERS-BY. Works painted from snapshots taken at train stations from travelers. This series also contains monochromes, diary fragments.
2018 2020: STARRING. Drawings and paintings inspired by movies that show man in different situations of existance. Obsessed with film images I made hundreds of photos and translated them into new images.
2010 – 2017: VOCALS BY. My fascination for music. I painted on music a series of abstract portraits that show the power of various singers.
2002 – 2009: ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES. Experimenting with different materials in search of my language as a painter. Images of the traveling I did, self-portraits as well as abstraction.
1997 – 2001: WORKING ABROAD. I painted portraits, street scenes and landscapes during various trips to Egypt, Greece and India, which led to new figurations and abstract landscapes.
1993 – 1997: JE SUIS À LA GARE. I painted travelers at ten different train stations in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

STATEMENT
My artworks show the connections between people as they journey through life: since 1993 I have captured images of travelers at train stations in various parts of the world.
Different areas such as traveling, music and film are interrelated in my art.
Each work has been numbered with a numerator, building a record of my life as one work of art. This archive is often part of my exhibitions. I reached number 100.000 in September 2023.
