BIOGRAPHY

Palida Georgoulakou was born and raised in Athens Greece from a young age, she discovered her need for visual creation and her deep and intense desire to express herself through design and color. Despite this inclination she served as an officer in the Navy for 28 years and has two daughters.

As she did not stop being interested in art, she took part in Art History seminars, painting seminars, as well as Set Design and Costume Design Workshops.

Finally, the need for artistic expression prevailed and she decided to follow her passion professionally, to seek her creativity and her place in the visual scene.

Palida enjoys the process of creation, which liberates and uplifts her. She explores her art using different media, techniques and styles as she tries to portray her experiences, memories, feelings, dreams and aspirations on canvas.

STATEMENT

The need to give form to emotions and inner states shapes me as complex, untamed, and uncompromising.

Through creation, I encounter freedom — the freedom to let my truth emerge, using oil and acrylic paints, watercolors, or the timeless technique of fresco.

Each work is a reflection of my own vision, my own truth. Yet, what is truth? From where we stand, the sun appears to rise and set, bound by earthly perception. In essence, the sun never ceases to shine.
