BIOGRAPHY
With a distinctive style refined over 15 years, Owen Gildersleeve brings graphic designs to life through meticulous hand-cut layers and a dynamic play of light and shadow. His expertise spans from intricate paper illustrations and animations to expansive sets, window displays, and installations. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with esteemed international clients such as BAFTA, Meta, LUSH Cosmetics, Penguin Random House and NASA, among others.
In 2014, Owen unveiled his debut publication, ‘Paper Cut’, an ode to the artistry of 25 renowned paper craft artists worldwide. Through an immersive collection of in-depth interviews conducted over a year, the book showcases their exceptional creative practices while reflecting Owen’s passion for the craft.
While his commercial work flourishes, Owen also dedicates time to exploring personal themes and experimental projects. This creative exploration is showcased in his online shop, featuring a collection of unique and original handcrafted paper cut artworks.
