STATEMENT

When you purchase a beautiful piece of art, you also purchase many hours of experimentation and many hours of failure.

Katalin Nemethy has extensive training as a restorer and learned from the paintings of famous masters such as Titian. She studied these images and found out how these artists constructed their images in many layers and thus achieved this unique depth. She has mastered the art, refined it and applied it in her paintings.
She combines this craftsmanship with modern surrealist painting and creates contemporary works with an unmistakable style and quality.
She basically paints on special wood from shipbuilding, which has a very long lifespan. Over many years she has developed special primers and protective layers that give the images a unique color intensity. Interested buyers purchase pictures that show no cracks or color impairments even after 30/40 years, supported by the best quality of the colors used.
