BIOGRAPHY
I have been passionate about textile since childhood and when I was 12 years old, my ambition was to become a fashion designer which never happened; in my teens with advice from one of my art teachers, I became a student at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes (South Britany), where my designs were greatly influenced by the Bauhaus and for this reason my work is based on abstraction; during my studies, I was inspired by the Catalan textile artist Grau-Garriga after visiting one of his tapestry exhibitions and then dedicated my research to the creation of designs intended for my textile art.
Subsequently I acquired many years of experience as an artisan and color advisor in interior design, creating soft furnishings for apartments, houses and yachts for various private clients in Cannes (French Riviera), Spain from 1982 to 1988 and London where I have been living since the late 1988, having the opportunity to work on projects as far as Bruxelles, Boston and Newport in the U.S.A, Paris and Corsica; I also designed and sewn numerous stage costumes for La Sylvaine Ballet School shows in important theaters, such as the Britten Theater and the Bloomsbury Theater.

STATEMENT
Since 2015 I have been active as a textile artist; I design and manufacture panels in which textile fibers, different in texture, color and material, intertwine with each other, creating an abstract geometric lattice and representing the magnified weaving technique of cloth ; through this structural design, I tend to create a large, mysterious space which can only be represented through abstraction and layering of fabric ;I play with the contrast of colors and textures, passing from the sheen of silk to the rough texture of linen, from the two-dimensionality of fabrics to the three-dimensionality of padded tubes, making the panels a hybrid, halfway between patchwork and plasticism.
