BIOGRAPHY

Katayoon Firouzi, An Iranian- American contemporary artist painter, based in Texas.

Nature ,poetry and mysticism are the material of her works. In her paintings she likes to take a challenge , to risk of destroying something beautiful to create a \”daring\” work with pure soul, instead of something \”artificially Pretty\”.

She is a self-taught painter who believes learning is an endless path . she likes to work on several collections with different mediums, along with photography and digital painting.

Statement

Art is my way to discover myself and the world around me. the virtual reality which let me face the fact life is a beautiful experience.

In this path, painting it\’s an empirical truth for me. I believe focusing on the daily routines of living has taken mankind away from the center. And the center is, where there is a vision. to be able to see I must stand on a hill and look at the horizon.

I have always tried to reach the peak of my soul to feel a very wide horizon in front of me. I never know when I\’m there, it comes on its own without hesitation. And when it comes, then I\’m able to paint.

This moment of inspiration is like a horizon that can answer the struggle of the illusion and truth of the mind and opens my perception window to the wonder, to the fascination and horror of my own being in relation to the universe and unknown sides of existence.

Katayoon Firouzi studied in natural science and has Bachler Degree in Industrial Design and Graphic Design. she had several group exhibition in :

STATEMENT
