BIOGRAPHY

Kasia Kay is a Polish American multi-media artist. She has BFA in Studio Art and Art Criticism from Columbia College Chicago. She has learned metal casting at Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center. The artist has exhibited in Belgium, Greece, Italy, and the United States. Her work is in several private collections. Kay has completed several international artist residencies including Greece, Spain, and USA, as well as international curatorial programs in Germany and Italy. She has curated several international group exhibitions in Athens (GR), Chicago (USA), Miami (USA), and New York (USA).

STATEMENT

Kasia Kay’s stylistic and formal approach within each medium might vary, yet common themes prevail in her works. History, culture and travel may be sources of inspiration for her creative processes. She is often interested in transcendent and numinous content. It is for both personal and aesthetic reasons. Kay rejects limitations within creativity and is open to diving into the unknown.
