ARTSPER

BIOGRAPHY

I am a 23 year old artist born and residing in Kenya.
I started art as a hobby from young age as I found creating art a serene and beautiful way to express my thoughts and ideas.
My formal art education began in 2018 with a diploma in Fine Arts at Kenyatta University and I had an internship at the Mukuru Art collective in 2021.
I primarily create flowers, women and children depicting their beauty and vulnerability. My medium of choice is oil paints but I also explore acrylics, watercolours and other mixed media.
I portray my viewpoint in life through texture and colour in my paintings.
I have participated in various group exhibitions and personal collections.

STATEMENT

Infused with the vibrancy of nature and the pulse of my community, I wield palette knives to craft textured tributes to the resilience of women and floral beauty. In bold strokes of red, I convey courage and strength, echoing the spirit of my surroundings in every canvas.
My medium of choice is oils on canvas but I also explore acrylics, watercolors, charcoal and other mixed media.
