BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Mexico City and residing in Dubai for the last four years. Self-taught artist with experience of +10 years. The technique is highly influenced by traditional pre-hispanic mexican Art, Graffitti & Fine Arts.
The style developed includes traditional vivid colours, semi-abstraction & the use of universal symbols. Different formats are used such as murals, canvases and paper.
The subjects of the art work are human nature, spirituality, ancient art & mythology, as well as personal experiences using representative art.
CV
Self taught artist, started his career painting in a skateshop in Cancun, Mexico. After very succesful collaborative and solo exhibitions, got the support of the Arts Ministry in the local Cancun Municipality to join the Young Artists program.
Jose studied Illustration courses in London, UK and did an apprenticeship at the Death Before Dishonor Tattoo Shop in San Jose, California, which helped him define his unique painting style.
After relocating to Dubai, Jose’s style included elements of the arab culture to his art. Participating in private and public initiatives in the different Emirates and selling to numerous private collectors.
