BIOGRAPHY
After developing skills in a BFA program for glass and practicing through teaching and demonstrating for over a decade Jamie now has a home studio to concentrate on her practice. While selling custom pieces and meaningful memorial glass she keeps her practice centered on culture, community and nature. theres nothing like the process of hot sculpture. The studio furnace gets up to above 2000 degrees in about 3 hours which melts the raw material. By adding color and using the same metal tools that have been used in glassblowing for thousands of years she creates her products.

STATEMENT
My exploration and experimentation in the glass field has deep roots in traditional techniques while incorporating stylized expression through layering color and repetitive pattern. I am eager to present this look at nature through social systems referencing the birth spring brings through pollination, mating and growth processes.
