BIOGRAPHY

Born in Lebanon and based in Canada since 2006, Gus Bawab is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work reflects the vibrant fusion and dynamic interplay of both cultures.
Through painting, he interprets his personal experience through political, social, and technological lenses, developing a visual language that moves fluidly between figuration and abstraction.

Guided by compassion, Bawab’s practice seeks to create dialogue and foster unity in an increasingly divided world. Each piece serves as direct form of self-expression, building meaningful connections with those who engage with his art.

His work has been exhibited internationally and acquired by significant public and private collections. Notable milestones include the presentation of ‘Persistence’ at the French Presidential Palace in Paris and the auction acquisition of ‘Desired’ by the Mayor of Shanghai. These moments reflect his ongoing commitment to cultural exchange and the role of art as a bridge between communities.

Received letter of honor from President François Hollande.

Recognized by José Van Roy Dalí, son of Salvador Dalí.

Official letters of recognition available upon request.
