BIOGRAPHY

Fransie Malherbe Frandsen is a South African–born artist, writer, and illustrator based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Her multidisciplinary practice, rooted in backgrounds of Graphic Design and Art Psychotherapy, takes inspiration from her exposure to many cultures as well as her practice as art psychotherapist. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, her work is often described as Artivism, using visual language to engage dialogue and introspection.

Fransie has won several awards and her work has been internationally acclaimed and exhibited globally.

Fransie has also successfully written/illustrated a series of children’s books.

CV

In the past three years, Fransie has exhibited her work in solo exhibitions in London and Geneva. Her work has also been celebrated internationally in exhibitions in London, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Miami, New York., Oslo and Singapore. Her work has been included in “Art Anthology”, “Artists of Today and Tomorrow” and her work was chosen for the front cover of “The World Art Guide 2025”.
Fransie has recently been presented with an award of excellence, as the winner of the London, Women in Art Biennale.
