STATEMENT

Art for me is a tool, just like essays, where I get to think out loud, resolving the questions about humanity and divinity that dominate my thinking. My art is an expression of my insatiable fascination with human migration, socio-cultural fusion, and the contrast between human “isims” and human adaptation.
I choose fiber, textiles and paints because I want my feminine energy to permeate my work, while using texture to invite people to use all their senses. Embroidery connects me to five generations of artisans in my family.
