BIOGRAPHY
Francesc Bergadà is a Spanish artist. He was born in Tàrrega (Lleida, 1974). For more than 30 years he has been working professionally in the world of decoration. After going to painting classes at the fine arts school in his city to improve his technique, he begins to create works of painting. For his artistic process, he previously makes the design in a kind of small format sketch and then processes the work on the canvas through paint to finish it. This process seems like a kind of challenge. His favorite painters are Dalí, Klimt, Rothko, Mondrian… but in his work he focuses on a geometric style influenced by authors from Nordic countries and also with the Bauhaus school movement. He has participated in different group exhibitions and international fairs.

STATEMENT
Abstract, minimalist and geometric. My works painted in acrylic paint are located in these 3 pillars. Most of my designs do not have a specific meaning I aim to provide an aesthetic balance in the compositions with geometric shapes and elements. Regarding color, I usually use chromatic gray scales or even monochrome, mainly in black. The rectilinear lines forming symmetrical and asymmetrical elements together with the chromaticism that I use, provide forcefulness and elegance to the works, giving great importance to the details so that the work is as clean as possible. I live with high intensity each brushstroke on the canvases, to try to convey to my viewers the maximum emotion when seeing my paintings.
