STATEMENT

My creative practice emerges from a deep fascination with the natural world, translated through a rhythmic, mixed-media process. Having worked with paper collage since the early 90’s, I have spent years exploring the tactile possibilities of layering materials, allowing my work to evolve organically with each new series combining additional mediums as I create.

Métamorphe ~ A recent series exploring the layered nature of transformation. In art, “layers” encompass various materials, textures, colours, and forms that create depth and intrigue — metaphorically reflecting life’s many dimensions, experiences, and evolution, each stage shaping new perspectives. Working across paper collage, oil/chalk pastels, paint, and resin, my process has itself been metamorphic, forming an intricate tapestry of insight. Inspired by travels across continents, these pieces integrate natural elements, capturing a transformative journey — much like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon.
