BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1968, at the height of the Lyrical Abstraction movement. My first encounter with the blue of the Mediterranean filled me with joy. My appreciation for beauty was shaped within a family of artists and art collectors. Guided by my phalanx of masters—Atlan, Fautrier, Poliakoff, Bram Van Velde, and Rocher—my need to paint took precedence over a conventional professional career. Having always drawn, it is now painting that engages my emotions.

STATEMENT
My painting is imbued with the memories and emotions that fill and accompany me, places, scents, light, textures, sounds, and tonal nuances. It is in the space between these memories, feelings, and perceptions and the present moment that my painting takes root, in the interval of reality. That is where I find myself when I begin to paint. This moment is nourished by color, vibration, currents, forms, and emotions. The light of memory propagates color, reflects it, renders it fluid, spreads and scatters it, and blends it in a rhythmic ebb and flow. Colored shadows, the movement of elements, and the interplay of color echoes feed the canvas before reality solidifies; it is the vision that precedes the present.
