BIOGRAPHY

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1988, Camille Oudinot has always had a deep interest and passion for art and artistic exploration, despite never having received formal artistic training or earned an art degree. Her passion for art has never waned, especially since her father, an artist himself, passed on his love for colors, shapes, and volumes to her.

Her first experience with art classes and formal training began in 2017 when she was admitted to the studio of renowned Chilean artist Juan Astica. There, she moved away from drawing and began painting directly on large canvases.

Her works have been recognized and published by NYU Arts & Science’s Anamesa magazine and exhibited in several galleries in Palermo. Camille has sold her artworks worldwide, including in France, Switzerland, Mexico, Argentina, and the United States, continuing to pursue her own passion and style: the human body and the fusion of its forms with their surroundings. Her vibrant paintings evoke feelings of sensuality, unity, fertility, and eternity. Nude male and female figures embrace in a graceful, undulating design.

STATEMENT

My work is an exploration of the human form, not as it is, but as it feels—fluid, abstract, and intertwined with the colors and textures that emerge on the canvas. The female bodies I paint are not defined by traditional boundaries; they fade into the background, becoming one with the vibrant hues and brushstrokes that surround them. This fusion of form and color allows me to transcend the physical, delving into the emotional and the abstract.

I don’t seek to capture the body as an exact likeness; instead, I paint as I experience it, responding to the forms, textures, and colors already present on the canvas. Each brushstroke is a conversation with the painting, a dialogue that guides me to discover new shapes and possibilities. My art is about breaking away from the rigid expectations of beauty and form, leaving room for the unexpected and the imperfect.

Layering is central to my process. I build my paintings in stages, embracing the imperfections and mistakes that naturally occur. Some of my most compelling works are those that began with a “mistake”—a stroke or a color that seemed wrong at first but ultimately led to something extraordinary. I believe that art, like life, is not about perfection, but about finding beauty in the flaws and the unexpected turns.

Through color and texture, I aim to evoke feeling, to challenge preconceptions, and to invite viewers to see the human form—and perhaps themselves—in a new light. My work is an invitation to let go of the familiar and step into a world where the possibilities are endless, where the body is not confined by traditional canons, but is free to be anything the imagination allows.
