Ben Plaumann is a self-taught artist from Berlin, Germany.
Characterized by an eventful life – growing up in the east and north of Germany with short stops in the south and in the USA, he has overcome various professional and personal hurdles in his life and has risen again and again.

STATEMENT
Ben Plaumann’s medium is acrylic paint. His techniques vary and reflect his personal individualism.
With a preference for gold and red tones, he creates powerful compositions that oscillate between modern contemporary abstraction and antique-looking aesthetics.
His art thrives on contrasts: dark meets shiny accents, structured surfaces meet spontaneous impulses, accompanied by classical music and jazz as well as incredible feelings of happiness while painting.
From time to time breaks that out in a completely colorful direction.
The works are expressive, emotional, full of character and not just visual statements, but also invitations to pause, to empathize and to discover.
