BIOGRAPHY
Akshita Lad is a talented artist with a passion for art and design that has evolved over the course of her life. Born in Mumbai and now based in Dubai, Akshita’s love for aesthetics was nurtured in her childhood during family holidays spent visiting museums, where she fell in love with the works of great masters like Da Vinci, Monet, Michaelangelo, Raphael and Rembrandt.
Akshita is inspired by Ruth Bader Ginsburg quote on how she would be liked to be remembered as “Someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability”. With this in mind, Akshita paints almost every day and is very dedicated to mastering her craft.
Lad has developed a unique style that reflects traditional methods of painting with modern appeal and relevance. Her works showcase a natural affinity for colors and textures, with every piece conveying a sense of inclusion, positivity, joy, and happiness.
Akshita’s vast range of works includes portraits, landscapes, and abstract expressionist paintings, with a style that is strongly influenced by the Renaissance and Impressionist Masters.

After obtaining a degree in Business and Finance from Boston University’s School of Management, Akshita worked in the real estate industry, gaining valuable experience in residential, commercial, and hospitality developments. She also earned a certificate in Interior Design from the Florence Design Academy in 2004, further honing her skills in design.
In 2018, Akshita decided to follow her heart and pursue her love of art, joining the prestigious Lotus Educational Institute in Dubai to study painting and drawing. Since then, she has developed a unique style that reflects traditional methods of painting with modern appeal and relevance. Her works showcase a natural affinity for colors and textures, with every piece conveying a sense of inclusion, positivity, joy, and happiness.

STATEMENT
Ms. Lad’s art is a celebration of emotions, stories, and beauty. Her painting style is influenced by her love of Renaissance and Impressionist masters like Rembrandt and Monet.
In today’s world, where negativity and darkness can be overwhelming, Lad believes that her art can be a source of positivity and inspiration.
She wants her art to be a reminder of the beauty of the natural world and its inhabitants, and to transport the viewer’s outlook to a more positive and hopeful place.
Lad’s art originates either from an emotional, autobiographical point of view or from the reality around her. She is led to intuitively paint with emotional freedom when creating her abstract expressionist works. When painting the reality around her, whether inspired by nature or people, she tends to follow more traditional techniques.
Her paintings are infused with sensitivity and emotion and she uses colors and textures engagingly to create art that is harmonious and that invites the viewer to connect with the emotions and stories within the piece.
When someone hangs her painting in their space, she hopes they will find it timeless and treasured.
Through her art, Akshita aspires to create a connection with her audience that is both instinctive and profound.
