The heart of the City

The painting represents the ” Île de la Cité”, which is the historical heart of Paris, that started to develop and rise around the cathedral of Notre Dame. Viewed from the air, the island really looks like a heart, and the bridges like veines that connect it to the body of the city. This work was awarded at the Salon des Artistes Français, in Grand Palais, Paris, 1986.
