STATEMENT

Huijun’s works utilize the techniques of traditional Chinese rock painting and mural
painting, she uses a variety of materials. Chinese Dunhuang Soil, straw, and Carrara
white maeble powder are the main materials for the base.
The colors of the paintings are realized by natural mineral pigments and are often embellished with gold powder.
Her works combine traditional Chinese art with contemporary life elements in a humorous way. It creates a world of temporal and spatial confusion, where traditional art and contemporary life elements collide and shuttle freely. It is a reflection of Huijun’s inner self. She pursues an ideal state of peace, where anything in the world can move and communicate freely without being limited by time and space.
