BIOGRAPHY
Award winning Toronto based artist Victoria General often focuses on a figurative narrative theme, and she incorporates her life-long love of literature and history into her practice while utilizing various mediums. Victoria is ‘differently abled’ due to physical limitations from chronic pain. Her work is inspired by her love of life, humour, and a desire to display relatability. Both her figurative and landscape work has been exhibited extensively internationally, and is in private collections globally.

If there is one particular intention behind my art, I think it is an attempt to hold onto those essential emotional human needs: a sense of encouragement, hope, humour and relatability. Everything is connected, and none of us are ever truly alone.
