BIOGRAPHY
Sébastien Bayette discovered and developed his love for text, images and design at first as a magazine reader. After his studies in Marketing and Political Science in Rennes, Sébastien became Editorial Manager within different local authorities. Sébastien Bayette deepens his passion for photography by sublimating architecture and the urban environment.

STATEMENT
Sébastien Bayette usually finds the motifs for his minimalist photography in urban environments. He chooses details from modern architecture that are often not immediately recognizable as such when removed from their context. In addition, they are futher alienated when an interplay of light and shadows is superimposed over walls, staircases, roofs and corridors like a second level. The result appears like a constructivist composition, a pictorial space divided into geometric surfaces consisting only of lines, form and color. Bayette thud develops an aesthetic visual language, graphic, factual, strictly reduced.
