Pu Wei, a renowned Chinese artist, developed a unique style, The color of Surupa, blending Dzogchen practices from Tibetan Buddhism with Chinese painting. Rooted in Confucian, Taoist, and Buddhist ideals, her vibrant, layered works unite Eastern and Western aesthetics, reflecting deep life meaning and modern flair. She is a pioneer — the first artist to integrate Dzogchen this ancient, esoteric tradition into contemporary Chinese painting. Her paintings are not mere representations of visual reality; they are spiritual tools, portals to higher dimensions, and meditative artifacts that radiate energy and invite profound introspection. STATEMENT

My works are based on intuitive and emotional imagery expression under the Eastern philosophy and traditional Chinese culture. I paint through the path of meditation, which has led me to the peak of the spirit and gained the freedom of the soul. I directly enter the “empty essence” of my inner awareness, and arrive at an ideal kingdom that transcends social reality, which is void realm. There, I feel the “love” energies from the universe, nature and life. These feelings are frequencies and vibrations. I would love to convey these universe love energies to the audience through my paintings. “Void Realm Series” are the esoteric images of the soul I perceive, a higher-dimensional mental imagery projection with extraordinary information and energy. My painting process is full of uncertainty and randomness, the ever-changing “Void Realm” conveys the idea of empty essence that “All phenomena are created by the mind, and nothing is permanent.” These images are imagery projected through “vipassana”, appearing a higher dimensional natural state of the universe, filled with spiritual power and life energy. I use the power of consciousness to construct an energy field and allow the power of nature to participate in the painting process, manifest the essence of nature through the power of nature, allowing people to realize that the essence of nature is “emptiness”, only then can they possess the wisdom of “letting go of obsession” and achieve the awakening and liberation of the soul.
