BIOGRAPHY
Lymaris Rivera is a Puerto Rican-born artist whose work explores human emotion, internal reflection, and personal sanctuary through expressive visual storytelling. Self-taught and guided by a lifelong devotion to drawing and painting, their practice bridges raw intuitive creation with careful atmospheric control.
Working primarily in acrylics or oils, Lymaris translates subtle internal states into tangible forms using grounded color palettes, and dramatic light-and-shadow contrasts. Each composition serves as an emotional landscape, turning moments of vulnerability, heritage, and stillness into quiet, shared visual narratives that connect collectors with the subtle poetry of everyday resilience.

STATEMENT
For me, art captures what words cannot. I began painting my own experiences feeling isolated, only to discover how many others felt the same. I don’t paint scenes, but raw emotion, using grounded tones and light to mirror inner landscapes so that anyone standing in front of them feels seen and connected.
