BIOGRAPHY
Ivana Jakovljević is a visual artist dedicated to the exploration of the soul’s deepest layers through biomorphic abstraction. An MFA graduate of the Faculty of Applied Arts, specializing in wall painting, she has spent her career bridging the gap between technical discipline and visceral psychological inquiry. Her practice is defined by a “powerful but clearly directed creative charge,” as noted by art critic Robert Seke, which transforms raw emotional energy into expansive, textured canvases.
Ivana’s work is an ongoing investigation into the unseen, utilizing her expertise in large-scale canvases and mixed-media to document the fragments of suppressed memory. Currently based in Chicago. A dedicated contributor to the arts, she is a co-founder of the “Generacija Izazova” collective and a juror for the Terra Art Symposium.

STATEMENT
My work serves as a conduit between the conscious and subconscious, exploring the soul’s deepest layers through biomorphic abstraction. I aim to bypass the analytical mind to transmit a frequency of raw, unseen energy. By bridging technical mastery with visceral psychological exploration, my practice allows once-suppressed emotional memories to find expression in the physical world.
