BIOGRAPHY
Haohao Zhang’s art reconnects humanity with nature, exploring themes of belonging, identity, and emotional flow through painting, sculpture, and immersive installations. Inspired by global cultural narratives, including Chinese Shamanism, and works like John Berger’s Why Look at Animals?, her work delves into the symbolic and spiritual role of animals and natural elements as metaphors for human connection and displacement. Through surreal imagery, texture, and light, she evokes the fragility of relationships and the tension between progress, tradition, freedom, and rootedness, urging viewers to rediscover harmony in an interconnected world.
