BIOGRAPHY

I come from a small village called Lizums, which is located in one of the Baltic States in Latvia. I painted in my early school years when I was in elementary school. I took part in small drawing and painting competitions. My drawing teacher was my neighbor, and I often went to show my drawings to her. In my 25 I felt a great desire to paint again. In 2018, I started to take private classes at the Art Curator painting studio in Riga. After a couple of years, I realized that the abstract style really speaks to me and now it’s a big part of my life.

STATEMENT

I have been wondering for a long time why I paint. I paint because it’s my creative love, which I want to leave behind. Nothing gives me as much joy in myself as painting alone. I’ve learned to watch things. I just like to simply watch how leaves, shadows, and lights move. All the fine things are so visible now. And it all matters to me.
