My Story
Cristina Luna
My creative journey began early, through drawing, color, and a lasting curiosity for
making things by hand. In college, I studied Textile Design, discovering a deep
interest in materials, texture, structure, and form. Over time, painting became the
center of my creative life, leading me to explore different subjects, techniques,
materials, and exhibitions. Today, my main body of work, Walking Among
Mandalas, brings together color, geometry, repetition, and the meditative practice
I cultivated as a yoga teacher. I work intuitively and in layers, often incorporating
glass, beads, mosaics, and found elements. For me, each piece becomes a
conversation, guided by balance, rhythm, and a search for authenticity.
“My work begins when it becomes a truth within me; only then can it
belong to the world.”

STATEMENT
My work explores the dialogue between oil, mixed media, texture, and nature. I create intuitively, allowing each piece to evolve beyond its first idea. Through color, material, and detail, I seek authenticity—letting the work reveal something of me while inviting each viewer to discover something of their own.
