BIOGRAPHY
Cherif Mama is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the complex relationships between geometric forms, space and identity. Born in Abidjan, the artist grew up in an environment where urbanism and the cultural influences of modern life combined to shape his approach to art.

He also draws inspiration from the world of accessible luxury and culture, integrating visual elements often associated with fashion or luxury consumer products. These works become tools for reflection on consumer society.

STATEMENT
My work is the interaction between geometry, space and the human being.
I use my perception of this relationship to create characters that are not realistic, or to reinvent characters from pop culture.
The influence of popular luxury invades my work in order to question its implications.
In my work, I aspire to create spaces where the imaginary blends with reality, where geometric shapes come alive, and where surrealist characters unfold their mysteries. My work is an invitation to look beyond the surface, to question the visual and social constructs we take for granted, and to find new ways of perceiving the world.
