BIOGRAPHY
Bora is a full time artist and art mentor. Born in Slovakia, she currently has a studio in Prague and at SOWA Artists Studios in Boston.
Her interests lie in ancient history and alchemy, Shadow Archetypes, archeobotany and non-dualist traditions.
Bora teaches transpersonal art classes in bronze casting and painting. She assists individuals with entheogenic visual art integration and mentors artists.
Her work spans a variety of media, including oil painting, encaustic, clay, glass and bronze casting.
CV
Bora has been an art curator and gallerist at a number of state and private galleries in Europe since 1995.
From 2019 to 2022, she worked as a gallery director and art curator at Morro Bay Art Association in California. Between 1998-2015 she worked as an interior designer, manager, and co-owner of the glass design studio and founded interior design company as well as working at the Vaclav Havel Foundation Vize 97.
Her studies include MA in History of Fine Arts at Comenius University, Slovakia. Art Studies at Fine Art Academy, Prague; Institute of Art and Design, Minneapolis; Academy of Realist Artists, Boston. NGO studies at University of Minnesota and St. Thomas University, Civic Leadership Foundation fellow.
While she kept her art mostly private until 2022, her work has been exhibited in Boston, Bangor, Santa Fe, Colorado Springs, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay and Prague since 2012.
STATEMENT
I manipulate the Form to evoke the Formless.
Art is my chaotic, impulsive, impossible endeavor of Evocation.
It, the Infinite, gazes in every direction inside me.
It animates thrilling questions about the Nature of Reality.
It raises a vortex of epigenetic ashes in my womb.
It illuminates the edges of my intuition.
It pleasures me with riddles, dreams, and untamed visions.
It marinates me in wonders of It’s eloquent Nothingness.
It guides my hands in the making of an inaccurate painting.
My self-created artist persona is an ever-changing avatar.
