BIOGRAPHY
Alisa Shirkhanyan (b. Armenia) is a self-taught painter whose artistic journey began unexpectedly in 1998, when a colleague encouraged her to draw. After an early exploration and a pause, she returned to painting in 2015 with a renewed passion and a profound connection to her inner world.
Her practice centers on the idea of color as language — a way of translating emotions, music, and dreams into visual form. Inspired by the harmony of nature, she creates abstract works that embody rhythm, movement, and resonance. Each painting is conceived as a vessel of energy, inviting viewers to experience unfamiliar yet enchanting spaces where tranquility and vitality coexist.

STATEMENT
Art, for me, is a gateway to the universe — a way of dissolving into its vastness and returning with visions shaped by beauty, love, and tranquility. I paint intuitively, guided by music, dreams, and emotions that carry me beyond reality into unfamiliar yet enchanting spaces.
At the heart of my work is the idea of color as language. I see colors as vibrations that speak directly to the soul, expressing what cannot be captured in words. When I paint, these vibrations transform into lines, textures, and abstract landscapes that evoke both serenity and vitality.
Each canvas becomes a vessel of resonance, offering the viewer not an explanation but an experience — a chance to feel the silent speech of color and to glimpse unexplored dimensions within themselves.
