GALERIA AZUR BERLIN
a

In Berlin’s vibrant artistic scene, this selection of contemporary artworks and artists serves as a turning point where art transcends conventional
boundaries and delves into the realm of desire and passion. The exhibition employs a wide range of artistic expressions, from geo-
metric and abstract works that challenge the mind to surrealistic images and more realistic elements that stimulate the senses. These
elements interweave to illustrate the innite capacity of art to approach erotic themes in distinctive and provocative ways.

Artists such as Owen Gildersleeve, Osvaldo Bacman, Martijn Baxmeier, Ludwig G. Mannhalter, and Fabito Denker explore the essence of form
and sensuality through simplicity and geometry. The geometric shapes displayed here can insinuate the beauty of the human body, or frag-
ments thereof, while pure abstraction, as seen in the works of Sergio Rodriguez or Adam Kourdes, enables the expression of emotions and
erotic experiences beyond mere literal representation. Here, lines, shapes, and colors become a mysterious language of passion, allowing
viewers to engage in a deeply personal sensory and visual experience. In gurative works, sensuality and sexuality manifest through the sug-
gestive or explicit representation of bodies, portraits, and silhouettes, as evidenced in the works of Eva Munk, Ingrid Lazzaro (CAR ACT AIR),
Monica Adams, Linda Achar, and Ruth Saidely.

On the other hand, Caroline Herck and those working with gurative art from corporeality and
three-dimensionality emphasize the qualities of matter and its textural exploration. Artists like Juan Carlos Bermudez irt with the idea of sug-
gestive corporeal lines and abstraction. With a more surrealistic approach, Alexandra Rodriguez, Jose Chaya, Polina Gazhur, and Anna Janosi delve into the deepest desires and dreams. Their compositions often embrace these concepts in a dreamlike and symbolic manner, challenging the conventions of reality and in-
viting viewers into a world of fantasy, sometimes even of an erotic nature.

Special mention must be given to the works of Paula Rello, which represent an innocent and playful context, or the works of Delna Monte-
verde, who, through her seascapes, connects with the muses and beings present in nature worthy of inspiration, just as Stiefnu does in
three dimensions.
As a whole, these artistic languages intertwine to provide an enriching and diverse experience that explores eroticism from multiple perspecti-
ves. In this way, each artistic style oers a unique window for expressing sensuality, whether through pure and abstract form, surrealistic re-
verie, gurative recontextualization, or the freedom of abstraction.
In a world where restrictions and taboos regarding erotic expression often persist, Galería Azur Berlin’s new proposal celebrates creative li-
beration, restlessness, challenges, and captivates as it explores beauty and eroticism through varied artistic lenses.
